A better-organized knowledge base means smarter AI answers

The more you capture with Plaud, the more context you accumulate. That's the point. But a long list of files organized by date is a hard place to find anything, and an even harder place for AI to work well.

The new knowledge base view fixes this. It's not a visual refresh. It's a fundamentally different way of organizing your conversations, and it changes what the AI can do with them.

Find any conversation, even as your knowledge base grows

People don't recall conversations by folder name or file date. They recall them by when something happened and what the event was. Plaud Intelligence is built around exactly that. The more you use it, the more context you accumulate, and structure is what ensures that context stays findable when you need it.

Two ways to find what you need

Plaud Intelligence organises your knowledge base across two dimensions: time and events. Not arbitrary categories. The way you actually think about your work.

Time is the chronological view. Conversations and files grouped by when they happened: Upcoming, Today, Yesterday, This Week. Find anything from last Tuesday without scrolling through months of files.

Events is the project view. Group conversations by engagement, topic, or project. Everything related to a specific client, case, or initiative lives together, so you and Agent always have the right context in one place.

Better organization means better answers from Agent.

How you organise your knowledge base directly affects the quality of what Agent returns. When you ask Agent a question inside a time or event view, it works within that context. Not your entire knowledge base. Just what's relevant.

"What did we agree on in the last three client calls?" is a very different question when Agent knows exactly which calls to look at. The answer is tighter, more accurate, and grounded in the right conversations. Structure isn't just about finding things faster. It's about getting better answers.

What this means for you

Legal professionals: Organize by matter or case file. Every deposition, client call, or strategy session lives in the right place. Agent can answer questions about a specific matter without surfacing anything from unrelated files.

Healthcare professionals: Every patient you've recorded with becomes their own profile. Plaud aggregates everything they've said across all your conversations. Before any follow-up appointment, ask Agent what's changed since the last visit. It draws on the full history, not just the last recording.

Consultants: The Time view keeps your week in order. At the end of any day, you can see exactly what happened across every call and conversation. Ask Agent to pull out the key decisions or action items from the past few days, across all your engagements at once.

Plaud Team extends the capability across your organization, so your whole team works from shared context and the same knowledge base of conversations.

Frequently asked questions

Where did my old recordings go?

They are still there. All your existing recordings carry over automatically to the new Knowledge base. You will find them in the Time view, grouped by when they happened. Nothing was deleted or removed.

I had recordings organized by folder or saved to a specific device. What happens to that structure?

The new Knowledge base organizes everything by time and by Events. Your existing recordings are accessible through the Time view, and you can create Events to group related conversations, clients, or projects going forward. The new structure is designed to match how you actually recall conversations: by when something happened and what it was about.

What is an Event, and do I have to set it up myself?

An Event is a grouping for related recordings: a client, a project, a case, an ongoing engagement. You name and create them yourself. Once set up, you can add recordings to them manually, or let Plaud Agent assign recordings to the right Event based on context.

How does the Knowledge base improve what Agent can do?

When you ask Agent a question inside a time or event view, it works within that context, not your entire knowledge base. Only the relevant recordings are searched. The tighter the context, the more accurate and useful the answer.
